We do love a good countdown, almost as much as we love exquisite imagery of interior (and exterior) design. What better way to enjoy them both at once than to showcase our top 10 Instagram posts from 2021? See which moments our online community loved the most out of hundreds of photos we’ve shared this past year.
Number 10 - Jennifer Robin’s Moody Exterior with a View
It’s nearly impossible to resist a deep and moody moment, especially against such an amazing backdrop of these California mountains. Clearly, our Instagram community agreed when we shared this image from Jennifer Robin Interiors in early August.

This iridescent and shimmery “mermaid tile” captured the hearts (and eyes) of many members of our online community… Something about that unlacquered brass against the shine of the zellige is just so captivating. This photo from Sister Interiors took the number 9 spot on our top 10 list of Instagram posts for 2021.

Number 8 - A Moody Kitchen Moment
What we loved most about this image from Jemima Aldridge was the soft steely blue cabinet color and leather handle pull combo. This moody moment must have struck the same chord with our Instagram community because it took the number 8 spot on the top-ten countdown of our Instagram posts from this year.

Number 7 - Bodine White’s Hillside Retreat
This image we shared in late January from Bodine White’s Hillside Retreat project earned the number 7 spot on our top-ten countdown, thanks to its bright Modern French Country-inspired charm and warmth. The custom millwork and warm wood tones work so well together with contemporary features to create a timeless yet modern feel in this Midwestern hillside home.

Such a sweet pick-me-up puppy moment from Sherry H. Designs… It drew quite a response from our Instagram community when we shared it at the beginning of the year. That might be the most charming puppy door solution we’ve ever seen!

Number 5 - Zellige Shower with Copper Accents
Yes! The zellige and copper accent combination in this shower from Amber Interiors snags another spot on our top 10 list. Amber Interiors shows us the harmony that’s created when zellige and copper accents come together – this light and airy bath takes on an elegant and almost whimsical feel with the pops of color from the copper accents.

Number 4 - Zellige Shower with Copper Accents, #3!
Clearly, zellige was a fan favorite in 2021! This tile has a way of seducing the eye, so much so that it earned three of the ten spots on our top-ten countdown of this year’s Instagram posts!
This image was our most-saved in January and held a top-ten spot all year long, finally landing at number 4, proving once again that the combination of this shimmery, iridescent tile with these warm metallic accents hits the mark each and every time.

Number 3 - Purple with Envy
Talk about wisteria hysteria… This spring post that took the #3 spot on our top-ten list proves just how real it is! We have a real passion for these pops of purple, and so does our Instagram community, it seems! These blooms are absolutely breathtaking against the bright-white exterior.

Number 2 - Hydrangea Heaven
The flower fun continues with this sun-soaked exterior image from Landschute we shared at the start of spring. These lovely hydrangea blooms set against a charming white picket fence were a fan favorite amongst our online community members.
Number 1 - A Gorgeous Greenery Moment
In April of this year, we asked you if you wanted to know how to make this gorgeous greenery moment yours, and wow, did we get a response! The love our Instagram community showed for this image is overwhelming, and it shows, given it made the Number 1 spot on our top-ten list!
